The Fall

In the distinct geographical locations, Buenos Aires, Quito, and Boston members of Transcultural Minga staged a fall. The artist is participating in the typical activity of the pedestrians in the area. At a corner, the signal indicates to walk and the artist falls to the ground for 10 seconds. At the end of this time, the artist rises and continues walking. If asked what is going on, the artist replies, "I wanted to see what it would be like to be dead for 10 seconds." The level of interruption in the space, and the reaction of the bystanders is an indicator of the place.
